Thanks for shedding light on our shelter

The lights are on at The Terre Haute Humane Society.

On behalf of the dogs and cats and employees at the Terre Haute Humane Society, we would like to thank some very special local electricians for lighting up our lives.

We owe our thanks and gratitude to IBEW Local Union 725, NECA (National Electrical Contractors Association), and the LMCC (Labor-Management Cooperation Committee) and Crown Electric Co. A very special thanks to R. Todd Thacker, IBEW business manager, who helped put this project in motion, Brent Smith from Crown Electric, who supplied the fixtures, and Monte Nickless, who headed the project.

Additional labor was provided by two of IBEW Local Unions Retiree Club, Patrick McNabb and Robert Hale, and two apprentices, Beth Debney and Jim Norris, as well as IBEW Local Union 725 staff members Tom Szymanski and Charlie Nettles.

The cats, dogs and employees would like to invite the public to come down for a visit and see the new and improved shelter. Our beautiful mural in the lobby, painted by Jana Weeks and her daughters can now be seen in a new light, our beautiful animals are here waiting for you to find them.

Please thank the above electricians or any union electrician you see as they helped make this possible.
