On Wednesday, March 2, 2011, IBEW Local 601 hosted a luncheon for the Indiana Democrats who are holding out in Illinois in response to the radical agenda currently being debated in the Indiana House of Representatives. Never part of the 2010 campaign debate, the Republicans introduced "right-to-work" for Less, a repeal on Project Labor Agreements, the gutting of our state Prevailing Wage law under Common Construction Wage, and a prohibition for local communities to pass Living Wage Ordinances! Plus, we have already witnessed the reduction of benefits on Unemployment Insurance, they continue to push vouchers and charter schools - thus eliminating any oversight equal to what the public schools sytems have and will drain our public school systems- and elimination of more Collective Bargaining rights!

Take a minute to thank our Indiana Representatives. They stood with us. The least you can do is contact them by e-mail or phone, or send a letter to you local newspaper editor to thank them!
